Do I need a TV to use StreamTV/StreamTV+?
Yes. StreamTV/StreamTV+ (Plus) need to be connected to a TV with an HDMI port to work. It doesn’t have its own screen, so it turns your existing TV into a smart entertainment hub for streaming movies, shows, and apps.
What streaming apps are available on StreamTV/StreamTV+ devices?
You can enjoy today’s most popular streaming apps on StreamTV/StreamTV+ (Plus), offering you a wide range of options. You can download YouTube, Disney+ and Spotify among others but the devices comes pre-installed with Lionsgate Play, HBO Go, Viu, BlastTV+, Cignal Play and Pilipinas Live. Please note that some apps may require separate subscriptions, which are not included in the StreamTV offer.
Can I download other streaming apps aside from those that are pre-installed on the device?
Yes. You can download additional streaming apps from the Google Play Store, as long as they are supported locally and are compatible with Android TV.
Please note that some premium streaming apps require device certification to work properly. For example, apps like Netflix will only work if the device is officially Netflix-certified. On non-certified devices, these apps may not appear for download or may have limited functionality.
Is Netflix available on StreamTV/StreamTV+ devices?
Netflix is available on StreamTV+ (Plus).
While Netflix is not yet available as a native app on StreamTV, you can still enjoy Netflix content by casting it from your laptop’s Google Chrome browser to your TV using StreamTV’s built-in Chromecast feature.
When Netflix becomes available on StreamTV in the future, PLDT will notify you, and your device will automatically update to make the app available for download.
